Austin Energy Green Building

Austin Energy Green Building (AEGB) helps people design and construct buildings that can improve the environment, save money and make people’s lives better and healthier. In 1991, AEGB developed the first rating system in the U.S. that shows how many of these goals a building is meeting, and how well. Other cities thought this was a great idea and did the same. The AEGB team works with the building industry on projects that will make Austin a better place to live--both now and in the future.

Texas Solar Energy Society

The Texas Solar Energy Society (TXSES) is a non-profit organization with a long history of solar and renewable energy outreach and education. Founded in 1976, TXSES has been serving Texas for over 40 years. Our mission is to promote clean, safe, locally harvested solar power for every Texan. As a chapter of the American Solar Energy Society (founded in 1954), TXSES in turn has chapters in Houston, North Texas, Austin and San Antonio. All chapters work to educate citizens on the value of solar energy and encourage its adoption in their communities.
